THE WHAT:
A bent-arm strength form whose isolated practice (either holding isometrically, or transitioning through it slowly) develops strength of the biceps and anterior-shoulder, with particular emphasis on tendon integrity. As the arms are loaded under bodyweight in a HORIZONTAL position (similar to, but notably different from, the VERTICALLY-oriented 'Bent-arm stand'/BASt form,), there is SIGNIFCANT stress on the connective tissues of the biceps at both the shoulder-origin and elbow-insertion. For this reason, the practitioner should develop strong experience wit similarly-loaded, but less intense, patterns, such as the 'Korean dip' and the 'Pelican curl'.
