Chest-supported handstand
Handstand supported-balance
•
53s
THE WHAT:
This context serves as a 'novel' supported-balance drill as its optimal execution very much depends on the setup (how well you establish your shoulder-strucure as well as the chest-supporting surface used) and your mobility (if front-folding mobility is restricted, this can simply make this drill inaccessible).
Further, as the drill can be quite precarious to enter (the feeling can be that of hanging oneself over the edge of a wall), this can exacerbate sensations of fear which are detrimental to practice. Lastly, as it brings you to an extremely fine point of balance, it requires a pre-established level of re-/balance calibration on par with touching only the CHEST against the wall in the 'Toe-pull' supported-balance context in order to be effective.
