Bodyweight bar-row
2m 34s
THE WHAT:
A fundamental rowing context for horizontal pulling development, using a fixed bar. Whilst not as 'ergonomic' as performing the 'Ring-row', in general a deeper incline, and therefore more "load", can be used.
This is firstly because of the greater neuro-muscular recruitment (i.e. integrating more muscles into the pull) which hands in a FIXED position can potentially afford (e.g. with intentions such as "pulling the bar apart"), but secondly, even though execution calls for a CHEST-TO-BAR TOUCH each rep it is slightly less range than the ring's "thumbs-to-chest".
