THE WHAT:
Simple contexts for exploring & developing the ranges of lumbar extension in a low-intensity manner, simply by locating and “releasing” any excess, “superficial” tension being held in both the abdominal and lower-back musculature. BE MINDFUL of your sensations and AVOID stretching too “passively” or forcing into the range of lumbar-extension (i.e. relaxing too much and progressing with too much vigour).
In some cases, the body is holding tension for a reason (i.e. protecting an old or existing injury, potentially unknown for this very reason), and these “locked doors” are best left so for the moment until more information (through movement) has been gathered about what is and is not safe to explore.
